Honda R&D Co., Ltd: Marathon Leading Electric Car "DreamQueen"
Fifteen members of the Motorcycle R&D Center of Honda R&D Co., Ltd. manufactured the DreamQueen based on the large SilverWing scooter with the intention of "contributing to record improvement through the improvement of the marathon competition environment."
In this project, we participated in the design and manufacture of the driving motor, battery pack, and body modification.
Because this motorcycle is manufactured with the purpose of “improving the marathon competition environment,” it uses an electric motor with zero exhaust emissions and low noise instead of a gasoline engine. This is with the aim of enabling runners to concentrate on their running without having to deal with breathing or smelling the vehicle's exhaust fumes.
As a marathon lead vehicle, the bike includes several innovations, such as a specially developed running navigator and easy low-speed adjustment device.
The DreamQueen has already performed well in many marathons. Leading results (examples) Nagoya half marathon, Inuyama half marathon, Tokyo Arakawa marathon, and many other races
